Well is this my year?? Who knows but I know it is going to be a busy one.

So, I think one of my priorities will have to be getting on top of my diet. Not because I want to lose weight but because
I am going to have to be healthier just to keep up. Last year, I had one blood transfusion and two iron infusions as my iron levels and hemoglobin depleted to a seriously dangerous level. The worst part was I didn't know that sick. It wasn,t until I visited the doctor for a sore wrist go figure. I had become so used to feeling tired and run down, I let life get on top.
So this must be a priority. If I can't get on top of it then I won't last the distance.

Anyways, I hope to have my blog up and running today or tomorrow. So I hope you will show your support and have a look.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the features lately and faves. I appreciate them all.

I may not respond straight away, but I will try and get back to you!

So What's new??

Well It's a new year, with 2010 gladly behind me. This year has so much potential and I hope to make the most of it!
I haven't been involved in the dA community of late. Not because I haven't wanted to, just being time poor makes it hard to get on here.
My expectations of dA haven't dwindled. I still expect good quality and inspirational content and I have not been disappointed.

Anyways, I have big plans for 2011. New branding is in the works, new equipment and a whole new content in the way I think and how I create my photos. I hope you enjoy what will be on offer and I look forward to seeing works from you all too.

Sadly I am going to delete all my messages as 8000 is quite a fair bit to go through. I appologise if I miss out on seeing your works etc. But I just want to start fresh!

Just wanted to say thanks to all the features lately and faves. I appreciate them all.

I may not respond straight away, but I will try and get back to you!

So What's new??
Not much really.

I have been taking it easier than usual. I am still not 100% but I am getting there.

My diary is filling up, with plenty to keep me busy...but the cold weather is starting to make it's presence known. So I am not keen on winter kicking in. Then you have everyone coughing and spluttering and passing on flus...yuk!

A few event gigs to do, but they can generate a good atmosphere. I am again one of the sponsors for the Macarthur Country Music Awards 2009. But I am undecided if I am going to be shooting it this year! It's a big event, so I will see!

I want to get back into the studio, I have a new kit and strobe set-up to play with, yet have spent more time on location which requires a different setup. So in the colder months I know where I'll prefer to be! under warm lights, and in my comfort zone.

So that's all for now.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the features lately and faves. I appreciate them all.

I may not respond straight away, but I will try and get back to you!

Tomorrow I have to go into hospital, I haven't been feeling very well lately and it turns out that my anaemia has become quite severe.
I need to have an iron infusion, and hopefully this will allow me to avoid a blood transfusion, so fingers crossed.

The tiredness and pain has made things quite hard, having Rheumatoid arthritis on top of it all, it makes one feel a little sorry for ones self. Not to worry, I am reknown for getting over it fast. After all there are people worse off than myself.

I am really looking forward to feeling better.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. The saddness and helplessness I feel. If it isn't the floods in Queensland the absolute devestation of the Bushfires in in Victoria. 175 people are confirmed dead and that figure is expected to rise. Communities completely wiped out, families missing it is just sad, sad, sad. With those feelings of sadness, all I want to do is put a face to the mongrel who deliberately lit those fires. I am sure many Australians who feel sadness, will replace that with anger when they capture this mass murderer. To all the people in Victoria, I outstretch my arms and send you a huge hug, and will do what I can to help. You are all in my prayers.

Another year over a new one about to start.

May I wish you all a Happy New Year. I know 2008 was a bad year for so many including myself. I injured my ankle, was burgled, had a sick child in hospital for the first part of the year and just all the stuff in between. I am hoping to see 2009 deliver a better outcome. The world economy is what will test most of us, people losing jobs, homes and lifestyles they have become acustomed to. We just need to take one day at a time and try and help each other where we can.
Anyways, I hope you all stay positive, and have a good New Year!

So What's up?

Well I am feeling so sore and sorry for myself right now. One day I am celebrating an awesome birthday, the very next I am in the ER with a severely hurting ankle.
Never saw that coming.

I was extremely careful collecting wood from the wood stack, I climed to the top and over the back to get smaller pieces...and when I had what I wanted, jumped off. BIG mistake! Yup, I landed the wrong way and ended up with a horribly sprained ankle. It could have been worse I guess. I was lucky to not break it. Though it still hurt like a bitch! I can't afford to be laid up for too long. I have HUGE responsibilties, and I do hate relying on people to do things for me.
Anyways, I am sore, I am bored. I will take this opportunity to catch up on peoples photos. Mostly uploading....so I am grounded for now...so make sure you all say hello! Comment me, message me, what ever.

To those I haven't had a chance to get on over to see, Happy New Year.

You might have noticed a reduction in the amount of photos I have been submitting, but due to my boy spending a lot of time in hospital last year, and now my own health has it's own challenges, and nowI can only do so much.
EDIT: so much as in the way of Photo assignments etc.

I have recently been diagnosed with Pollyarthritic inflamatory disease brought on by Rhuematoid Arthritis. So I have had to cut back on a lot of my work as holding several kilos of equipment for long periods of time can almost cripple me. Not forgetting to mention my optic nerve being inflamed recently where I was unable to see! Today, I am in some pain, and am annoyed with the stiffness!
So what next?
I still will do photo assignments, as long as they are for short sessions. It all depends on health and how much is going on around me. Taking it easy is important and resting the joints when they become inflamed will help to stop the joints from becoming damaged.

I have a wonderful family, and I hope I don't become too much of a burden on them.

On a brighter note, my youngest boy started high school today. I will try and get a photo up soon.
Not bad for a kid who suffered a stroke when he was a baby and couldn't walk or talk for a long period of time!....what a mile stone!

Well I have been away from here for a while, just busy with people, photoshoots, and life in general.
To all those who have left messages and notes and all, I thankyou very much for taking the time. I will try and answer where I can, but I think I am going to have to do a massive message centre clean up soon. Mostly messages that go back a while. Things are getting back to normal on all fronts.

It's going to be a busy month next month....
I have several photoshoots that look like a challenge coming and a photoshoot for an album cover for a client. Country music awards for which I am a silver sponsor is also coming up and I have to attend and some street photography to cover...I'll love this!
So the Diary is filling up. I am looking forward to getting things done. It has been a tough couple of weeks, but now thats all behnd me so things are generally going good!

Thankyou all for the well wishes during my son's illness, it made a difference. Thankyou all very much.

I will update some photos in my gallery soon, I have quite a few things to catch up on and will come over soon and say hello. I have a huge amount of messages etc to go through and answer.

Firstly, thankyou to those who commented my last journal. I was upset when I wrote it and I didn't say much.
I am not really one to share my problems, I find it harder to do that and find it easier to help others with theirs...but while my problem won't go away, and I am usually 99% positive in my thinking and usually bounce back with a smile. Yesterday I was desperate in finding an even ground to just deal with things. I think I started several messages to different people here on dA then deleted them. I just didn't know what to say. That is when I broke down and just let it happen.
My family is on its head at the moment, not in a sense that we are financially in trouble,(far from it) or anything that will rip us apart, it's nothing like that all.
My son, is very sick in hospital(again) and this is his second admission in three weeks. It is serious this time around, and it is frustrating, time consuming, and heartbreaking. Thats why I want to cry. because my heart is breaking for my child who is fed up with it all too.
It is so easy to sit here and write about how I feel, but it isn't about me. I feel so damned guilty, because I can't do anything for him except watch and listen to him tear his skin apart because his skin is ravaged by golden staph. It is so damn unfair. He is a good boy who should be out enjoying life, so unfair!!! hohumm.....it is all so consuming.
I was sent home from the hospital today because I am now sick. sinus infection...but in comparison, it isn't worth the effort complaining about. I will get over it.
Anyways, I just wanted to clear up why I was so sad yeasterday. I feel emotionally drained, but I am ok. I thankyou all for caring.

Taking a break. Just a week or two. I will use this time to catch up on some unfinished prints, update my website and take some time to catch up with my message centre.
